What are the prerequisites to qualify for entrance into the NCTI EMT-Basic Program?
- At least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Recommended Qualifications: General knowledge of first aid, the ability to handle stressful situations, and a desire to help people during medical emergencies.
What are the prerequisites to qualify for entrance into the NCTI EMT-Intermediate Program?
- At least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current EMT-Basic certification.
- Although it is not mandated, it is highly desirable that EMT-Intermediate students have at least 3-6 months experience as an EMT-Basic before they begin EMT-Intermediate training.
What are the prerequisites to qualify for entrance into the NCTI Paramedic Program?
- At least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current EMT-Basic or Intermediate certification.
- Turn in a complete paramedic application packet.
- Receive a passing score on the HOBET entrance exam.
- Complete an approved Anatomy and Physiology class within the last five years.
- Although it is not mandated, it is highly desirable that paramedic students have at least 6-12 months experience as an EMT-Basic.
